Purple loosestrife is a tall, perennial plant that blooms in August.  It thrives in a rather sunny place in moist soil and is therefore well suited to a pond- or stream bank. 50-100 cm tall.
 
Sowing time: January - February. Seed is treated, so it does not need cold stratification. Seeds covered  and kept at room temperature until germination.
