Oregon garpe is a fairly tender shrub that needs a sheltered, warm place to grow. It needs to grow in a greenhouse or on a covered balcony to thrive and bloom. The flowers are small, yellow in multi-flowered clusters and under sufficiently warm growing conditions, blue berries ripen.
